Editorial policy
How DIYDollars separates guidance, estimates, unknowns, and commerce.
Evidence and uncertainty
Claims should be tied to appropriate primary or authoritative sources where possible. Estimates must state assumptions. Missing research, local variation, and unresolved costs stay visible instead of being silently treated as fact or zero.
Guide review
Each substantive update carries a real date. Dates are not refreshed automatically. Draft guides require owner review for sources, local-risk framing, product compatibility, and legal language before launch.
Commerce separation
Editorial equipment requirements are stored separately from exact product mappings and from each visitor’s choice. No Amazon navigation occurs without a deliberate click, and no purchase or commission is inferred.
Corrections
Visitors can report something outdated or incorrect. Submitted reports are reviewed privately and never auto-published or allowed to control site instructions or rendering.
