Privacy
How DIYDollars handles local choices, forms, and external links.
Choices stored on your device
Favorites, comparison choices, broad resources, and starter-kit decisions are stored in your browser’s local storage. They are not accounts and are not automatically sent to DIYDollars. Clearing site data removes them.
Information you submit
Contact or correction forms transmit the information you deliberately enter. Do not submit sensitive personal, health, financial, or credential information. Delivery logs should be limited to operational data and must not place form contents in routine logs.
First-party activity counts
DIYDollars records limited first-party events needed to understand the site: guide and topic-page views, saves, comparison additions, starter-kit status changes, Amazon outbound clicks, and plan requests. Records contain the site path, a guide or equipment identifier when relevant, a short controlled status value, and a timestamp. They do not contain the text you type, your browser-local list, Amazon activity, advertising IDs, or third-party tracking cookies.
Event records are automatically pruned after 180 days in the current build. Aggregate admin reports use the last 30 days for activity counts. Plan-request email addresses and consent records are stored separately and require an operator-approved retention schedule before launch.
External services
Following an Amazon link takes you to Amazon, where Amazon’s policies apply. DIYDollars records the outbound link but does not read Amazon cookies, credentials, carts, orders, or commissions. No third-party analytics script is enabled by default.
Operator and contact
DIYDollars is operated by Property Data, LLC, 231 Nixon Drive, Guntersville, AL 35976. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@diydollars.com.
This remains a pre-launch policy draft. Retention periods, hosting details, applicable privacy rights, effective dates, and legal review still require completion before launch.
